Nelson and Mathematics

Independent of Nelson’s prestigious career in mathematics at Washington College, he was also a published theory writer. His original work was published by the Houston family, natives of Rockbridge County (and instrumental in founding the city of Houston, Texas). In addition to his professional work, the collection exhibits many loose pages that were stuffed into the copy book that is highlighted in an earlier section, a selection of which is displayed below.
